While our previous work for Responsibility.org was targeted to children, the goal of Repeat Offender was to influence an older audience with an explanation of the challenges in the criminal justice system that keep drivers with multiple offenses on the road.

The video opens with a newscast, covering a drunk driving accident, that directly asks the question, "why was this driver still behind the wheel?" The video then quickly turns back the clock to show the series of events that answer the question.

Time jumps and a countdown clock help to move the complex story forward briskly and build tension leading to the accident before the story pivots to discuss ways to achieve a better ending for the repeat offender. We employed a sophisticated design and cinematic approach to telling this dramatic human story.
